Crank it up!

Living in the Sierra Mountains can be tough on a battery. Typically in colder weather, you can run into a situation such as not having the proper cranking power. This may be from your vehicle sitting too long, possibly a bad cell or just an old battery that needs to be replaced.  You can bring your battery to Gin's Auto and have a test done on it for free! If you need to replace it, we have batteries on hand.

Some Helpful Battery Tips

  1. Limit Short Rides.
  2. Keep Your Battery Tightly Fastened.
  3. Turn Off All the Lights When You Exit.
  4. Control the Corrosion.
  5. Test Your Battery Every Few Months
  6. Don't Use Electronics While Idling.
  7. Check water levels.
